Is this safe for children?
In simple terms, yes it is safe. It is recommended to start with a small amount on children as their skin is more sensitive. Start slow and with small amounts. Dilute with equal parts distilled water. Keep an eye for skin irritation.
Is this safe to use during pregnancy?
Yes, magnesium oil spray is safe to use during pregnancy. As always, I do recommend discussing this with your healthcare professional before using.
Can I use too much?
Using too much magnesium oil spray is difficult to do as your body should excrete any excess magnesium. It is worth mentioning however, if you have severe kidney function disorders, cardiac disorders, or myasthenia gravis please consult with your doctor or preferred healthcare professional before using magnesium oil spray. Aside from the conditions listed above, the main side effect for the average user would be watery stools and/or an upset stomach. If you find yourself experiencing this or severe discomfort/irritation, discontinue use and consult your doctor. *More side effects are possible if you are using an oral magnesium alongside a topical. There is potential to take more than the recommended daily amount which can result in unwanted effects. Please have a conversation with your healthcare provider to see your personal wellness needs.*
Why is there a stinging or itching sensation?
If you have low magnesium levels and you spray directly on to the skin, it may sting, tingle or itch. This is not an allergic reaction as magnesium is a naturally occuring mineral in the body, your body is now just building a tolerance to direct magnesium. Overtime the sensation should decrease. If you feel the need to dilute with distilled water, that may help at well while you are adjusting. My formula is made with a lesser concentration than other magnesium oil sprays on the market. This was done intentionally to help alleviate the burning sensation. You still may feel a bit of a burn or itch when first using.
Directions:
- SHAKE WELL
- Use 5-15 sprays in the morning and at night. Best absorption happens when applied after a shower when pores are open. Do not apply to freshly shaved skin. Lightly massage into skin where applied.
- Can apply anywhere on the body, but my preferred areas are the armpits (do not apply to freshly shaved armpits), forearms, stomach, back of knees and feet. If you do have a more troubled area with pain, you can apply directly to that area and lightly massage into the skin.
- If initial burning or itching sensation is too much, simply wash off after 10 minutes to allow absorption.
- If needed while adjusting to the spray, you can dulute with distilled water.
- Be sure to wash hands after applying and rubbing into skin to avoid contact with eyes.
- Store in a dark space like your bathroom drawer or a cabinet.
- FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY, DO NOT INGEST!
